Our Billing Policy
Lauderdale Medical Centre is a private billing practice. Consultation fees are payable in full at the time of consultation by EFTPOS, credit card or cash. Any applicable Medicare rebate can be deposited into your savings or cheque account the following day.
A list of common consultation fees is displayed in the reception area and waiting room. A full of fees is available on request.
Treatment room and additional procedures or services may have an additional gap payment. Procedures usually incur a gap of $50-150 depending on the complexity of the procedure and this will be discussed by your treating doctor at the time.
We actively participate in “Close the Gap” for our patients who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or with First Nations heritage. Please talk to our reception team about we can assist you with your health needs and reduce your health costs.
We offer no gap care to our Gold Card DVA veterans.

Medicare Safety Net Benefits
Patients are strongly encouraged to register their family for Medicare Safety Net benefits where higher rebates may be available and can significantly reduce out of pocket expenses (Medicare website).

Payment is required at the time of appointment. Medicare rebates are processed automatically on the day of visit.
